Leona Ketterl, a Chicago architect obsessed with jewelry making started making jewelry as a hobby to design and make something in a single sitting. This is the antithesis to working as an architect; projects often take years before they are three dimensional and can be experienced in a tactile way. Jewelry making is, in comparison, instantly gratifying. For Leona, each piece is another mini landscape: a milky way of planets, various crops on a farm, a bucolic garden, a central business district ...
There will be a bead raffle at this meeting. Raffle tickets will be at the membership desk at the front of the meeting room. Raffle tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5. We are always looking for bead donations. Please contact a board member or bring it to this meeting.
The BSGC will provide coffee and tea at the meetings. We are asking members, who’s last name begin with N-S, to bring a treat to this meeting. We ask everyone’s assistance in setting up and cleaning up after the meeting.
